What kind of music do you listen to?

Hey people, and a special hello to everyone else.

Have you ever noticed that the number one question that you get asked when meeting new people is "do you like music?" Or "what kind of music do you listen too?"
Personally, I think the kind of music you like to listen too says a lot about who you are. If you enjoy a large variety of music you probably are more open minded and sophisticated and you use words like "therefor" and "sophisticated". But if you only listen to one type of music then you probably don't experience much outside of your comfort zone.
I'm not trying to stereotype people who listen to certain kinds of music, but generally speaking there are certain personalities that come with certain lovers of a specific genre of music.
For instance;
Rock: confident, sometimes borderline cocky people, there very outgoing and friendly, but if you piss them off they'll kick your ass.

Punk-rock: similar to rockers, but are pissed off easier and get in fights when they drink. Every time they drink.

Jazz: these guys are easy going. They like the simple things in life. There passionate about whatever they love, but could still get in a fight if they had too.

Rhythm and Blues: sometimes passionate to an over extent. Bordering on obsessive. Easy going for the most part but high strung individuals who, like punk-rockers, get into fights when they drink, but only when they drink too much, but are occationally less likely to win.

Classical music: these guys love the finer things in life, but lets face it, they have too. If you're a lover of rock and roll music you only need to pay a $5 cover charge to go see a show at a bar, but if you like classical music and you want to go see someone play Mozart's Requiem: Lacrimosa you have to pay an arm and a leg typically. And you just get to sit there in a room and listen. No screaming, no mosh pit. And if you start making out with the person you took there, they kick you out. So these guys are typically passionate but not too out in the open with there passion.
Example: you would see a punk rocker making out with his chick in a Starbucks, but a classical music lover would save that for the bed room.
Also if they got in a fight, they'd probably pay someone to kick your ass.

Rap: rap lovers are the jokers of the music loveing world. They will laugh louder and more obnoxiously then anyone in the world. But if you piss them off, or mess with there friends or family they will come at you. HARD! So you best be stepin' off bro, no whatimsayin'.

Country: country music lovers are stupid and like to have sex with their cousins. (Once again, not stereotyping, just saying in general. There is an exception to every rule.)

I'm mostly saying, people who only like one kind of music should open their minds a bit and experience whatelse is out there. You might end up falling in love with a type of music you thought you would hate.
Most people do like more then just one kind of music, I find. And there are many more kinds of music than the ones I mentioned. There are mixed genres, Alternative, Indie, dance music, dubstep, electronic, folk, hip-hop and so on and so on...
I love almost anything I listen too. Case and point I could listen to Yoko Ono's "Yes I'm Your Angel" for days. To skrillex for hours, or the song "someone that I used to know" for a whole summer. Which I did once. Actually that was pretty torturous... But still!
There are people who complain when an artist they love changes their sound. Like for example, when Snoop dog became Snoop lion. He changed in his mind so his music changed with it. Nothing wrong with it. Growth is human nature, if we don't learn and adapt and change, we die. Sometimes change isn't for the better. For instance the decemberists, there old stuff kicked ass. There newer stuff, not so good. They changed something ever so slightly, they took a chance, but they failed. Oh well.

All in all I leave you with this quote:
"Keep and open mind, but not so open as for it to fall out." -can't remember.

Here I am again, on my own

Hey there blog readers,

Nobody likes a child who complains and I won't be the child anymore!

I hope you recognize those lyrics, because if you don't you've failed at being a hipster. Go home! You're not wanted here!

The reason I post those lyrics is that I've been trying to improve myself. You know how people say "be yourself" well that's just fine for a Disney movie. Here in the real world it just didn't cut it.
"remember, Bee yourself!"

So I'm trying to be more positive and open to people, but normally I'm very negative and guarded. Mostly because I have mental health issues, but also because people suck. "Shoot 'em all and let God sort it out" is what I say (actually I usually say "Bigger is better." But it didn't apply to this situation.)

"My mom's puerto rican, that's why I'm so lively and colorful."

But that kind of attitude doesn't get me very far. So I'm trying. I'd like more friends. Friends I actually like. I miss that kind of friendship. I usually have friends I don't like. They suck...

Anyway, my life as a hipster stays constant. As the winter months approach it will get harder to determine the hipsters from the "lame" people, but believe me when I say "Just because I dress and act like a hipster doesn't mean I am one. They're copying me, I swear!" And that my friends you can take to the bank!
